Family Therapy

Family Therapy

Our therapeutic approaches are designed to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen emotional bonds within the family unit. Approaches like Structural Family Therapy (SFT) focus on identifying and altering dysfunctional family dynamics, such as rigid boundaries or enmeshed relationships, to create a more balanced and supportive environment. Bowenian Family Therapy emphasizes understanding inter-generational patterns and emotional connections, helping family members become more self-aware and less reactive to each others behaviours. Strategic Family Therapy involves targeting specific problems, often using direct interventions or behaviour modification strategies to address issues like communication breakdowns or power struggles. Narrative Therapy encourages families to re-frame their collective story, allowing members to redefine their roles and find new ways of relating to each other. Overall, these therapies aim to foster healthier relationships, reduce stress, and promote mutual understanding, helping families navigate challenges in more constructive and collaborative ways.
