Founder of Peaceful Mind Psychology Registered Psychologist
Welcome! I’m Tanya Mah, the owner and founder of Peaceful Mind Psychology. I am an experienced Registered Psychologist on a mission to empower individuals and promote mental well-being. With 25 years of expertise in the field, I have dedicated my life to helping people overcome challenges, find their inner strength, and live more peaceful lives.
My passion for psychology stems from a deep belief in the power of human resilience and the potential for growth and healing. I offer a warm and nonjudgmental space where individuals can feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Through evidence-based therapies, tailored to each person's unique needs, I guide my clients on a transformative journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence and relationships. I firmly believe in the power of a holistic approach, integrating various therapeutic techniques and tools to address not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes of distress. I believe in the importance of ongoing professional development and stay up to date on the latest research and therapeutic modalities. We are all unique and complex and require individual plans to facilitate change. I will work with you as a team to develop coping strategies, build resilience, and foster positive change using therapy techniques that are tailored to your needs.
Outside of my practice, I am an advocate for mental health awareness and de-stigmatization. I have contributed to community through workshops, speaking at conferences, and networking with professionals in my area of expertise from around the world on a consistent basis. I am certified in EMDR, Theraplay, as a Trauma Specialist, Positive Parenting and in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health. I am also a LENS neurofeedback provider. In my spare time I am spending time with my family and friends, walking my dog, doing yoga or hiking.
If you're seeking a compassionate and experienced psychologist who will support you on your journey towards well-being, I'm here to help. Let's work together to uncover your inner strength and create a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.

Master of Counselling Psychology Student Intern
Hi my name is Jenica Wilson, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work as a Student Intern with Peaceful Mind Psychology. My educational journey has been driven by a passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind. I have experience facilitating groups and coordinating service for diverse populations. I have experience working at the Brain Care Centre to help individuals recover from traumatic brain injuries. I am a certified yoga instructor and have specialized training to integrate holistic approaches into my counselling sessions.
In counseling sessions, I take a client-centered approach, valuing the uniqueness of each individual's experiences and needs. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as solution-focused therapy and acceptance and commitment-based therapy, I strive to help clients find practical solutions and support them in committing to actions that foster personal growth.
Mindfulness, breathing exercises, and light somatics are some of the powerful interventions I incorporate into my practice to promote overall well-being. Humor is another vital tool I incorporate into my counseling style. Laughter can be a powerful healer, and in appropriate moments, it helps create a comfortable environment to express oneself with ease. Additionally, a lighthearted approach allows us to address difficult topics while maintaining a positive outlook, fostering resilience, and promoting emotional release. I am eager to continue learning and expanding my therapeutic toolbox through ongoing professional development.
In my spare time you’ll find me enjoying a long walk, baking, or playing video games. However, I do enjoy a good movie and tv show.
I’m looking forward to providing a safe and supportive space for your healing journey. Let's work together towards a more peaceful mind and a value-based future. I am currently accepting clients of all ages.
