Through my years of experience mentoring and teaching people of all ages, I have developed a client-centred, collaborative approach that focuses on building authentic relationships and considering each client's unique needs. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, or working through experiences of trauma or grief, I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you move towards your goals.
My passion for counselling is based on the belief that every individual is worthy of support, understanding and compassion. I believe in the capacity of each individual I meet to overcome struggles, experience personal growth and develop resilience, regardless of age or background.
In addition to nearing the completion of my Master of Counselling degree, I have completed the Certificate Program in Traumatic Stress Studies through the Trauma Research Foundation, the Level 1 Certificate in Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy and additional training in Internal Family Systems Therapy and various somatic approaches. My goal is to provide compassionate and creative counselling tailored to the needs of each client utilizing interventions from each of these modalities. Additionally, I believe that exploring interventions that incorporate mindfulness, creative expression and movement can bring powerful healing in addition to talk therapy.
Outside of the counselling room, I enjoy creating music, playing hockey and slo-pitch, indoor rock climbing and taking my dog for adventures in our neighbourhood.
