Child and Youth

Child

Our therapeutic approaches for children are specially designed to help young individuals understand and manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in a healthy way. These therapies often use age-appropriate techniques such as play, storytelling, art, or games to help children express themselves and cope with challenges. Our Psychologists may also work closely with parents, caregivers, and schools to support the child’s overall development and well-being. These therapies can be effective for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioural problems, trauma, and difficulties related to family changes or school.

Youth

Our therapeutic approaches for youth focus on supporting adolescents through the emotional, social, and cognitive challenges that often arise during this developmental stage. These therapies aim to help young people develop healthy coping skills, improve self-esteem, and manage issues such as anxiety, depression, peer pressure, identity concerns, or family conflict. Common approaches include Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), EMDR, and solution-focused therapy, which emphasizes strengths and goal-setting. Therapists often create a safe, non-judgmental space where youth can openly express themselves and work through difficulties and develop personal empowerment. Involving families or caregivers is also a key part of many treatment plans to ensure lasting support and progress.
